Its a P.I.F moment

I have been sitting on this idea for a while. I ran into someone who did pif's...or does pif's. Hers are normal hand drawings and what not and about. So I said whats a pif? Pay It Forward was the response I got. So I was like hmmmm.....
So I figured with New Years coming up I would give my readers a PIF!
So click on the image and it will bring you to a photobucket page you can snag it from or leave an email as a response. Hmmm, or go to my etsy and do it there. So many choices.

Happy New Years Banner for your enjoyment!

Mmmm, pandas

For some the holidays are just beginning and for me they have ended. My shop's wares are changing and I can finally post a ton of my new banner sets and just banners. I should expand outside of my banner world and start to post other things too. I have tested the waters enough to know the deal and I have a handle on things.
I didn't spend X-mas with my family but I did spend it with people that I care for and thats good for anyone in this life time. I am more than excited about the coming year and can't wait to see where the world will kick me to next. I wonder if I will go to Carnival or just watch it on the internet again. Who knows? But what I do know is that I am happy to post this panda banner.

Its X-mas for me whats it for you?

And the easy way to answer that question is for me to simply say...

Its hard to keep up with blogging when I am not at home. My shop for lack of a better term or phrase literally runs itself. So I can sort of take my eye of it for at least 8 hours of a day and then come and look at it when I am done with family stuff.
So when I return to good ol home and leave this island of ghetto I will be more active.

Not Now But Soon

I am having sort of a weird creative boost from the song "Not Now But Soon" by Imogen Heap. When you play it with the iTunes music visualizer OH MY FOOK NAUGHTS!!!! Amazing. The song becomes more epic then it already was. As I watched the visualizer last night I was like what if I could draw the way this makes me feel, what if I could turn it into a banner series? The reason for this weird creative boost is that I am feeling lackluster myself. Whats Clem without good sleep and cuddles? Lackluster!
The song gives me a source of weird hope and peace. So may I present to you

The Earthquake

The sun had become hidden behind a cloud and Julie scratched her head. She desperately needed to get her item posted on Etsy so she needed the sun to come back. Everything was in place and all she needed was just a little light. Her poorly made Kodak digital camera was frustrating enough when there was sun let alone when there was no light.
She looked up at the sky and prayed the cloud would move. "Come on just a little to the left." She looked at her watch. Julie had about another 5 minutes until the kids got home. She would never be able to get the picture taken when they got in the house and she began to make deals with the cloud.
"Come on cloud" she said with her hands on her hips "If you move over just an inch I'll buy you something real nice with the money I make off of this piece." The cloud didn't budge a single inch and Julie became more desperate. She looked down at her watch 3 minutes left. "Well fine cloud! I didn't need you anyway." and in one swift movement Julie kicked her set up for her photos and as they were crashing to the ground something weird began to happen.
Julie's foot was still lifted in the air as she began to feel the world move underneath her. She looked up to catch a reflection of herself in the glass sliding door. She looked like a flamingo she thought, a very drunk flamingo.
Julie hit the ground and felt like she was in a martini shaker. She couldn't stop moving couldn't stop jumbling. She had no idea if it was her or the world shaking. She tried to look at something to get her barrings but the stand she had kicked over was still somehow falling down. Her beautiful crafted work was still soaring in the air. She closed her eyes and screamed very loudly "I didn't mean it!! For F88ks sake cloud I didn't mean it." Her eyes welled up with tears and her hands clutched the grass underneath. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry." and with that it all stopped.
Julie opened her eyes and ran her fingers over the ground.
*Clunk* was the sound of her camera hitting Julie in the head. She seemed to have thrown it in the air whilst doing her flamingo dance. She got up from the ground rubbing her head and she saw that the cloud had moved out of the way of the sunlight. As she bent over she heard the front door slam open as her kids came pouring in.
"Mom" "MOM" they screamed. "We just had an earthquake" "It was an earthquake MOM".
She looked down at her ruined set up and then back up at the sky. The cloud had completely disappeared. She pouted sadly and walked into the house defeated. "Yeah" she said "An earthquake."

Watermarking 3 Lazy Ways...I mean Easy?

Okay, so this month I am going to do a thing on 3 lazy/easy ways to watermark. As Always I provide you guys with a symbol unless you have one that you would prefer to use. Its all good. After the more than recent theft of some Clemart it makes sense to be like "Hey Watermarking = Cool".

This symbol is a from a brush back and it is just a simple circle behind it. I would not suggest you guys using this as an actual watermarker for yourself but people do what they want. This is just for teaching reasons :)

This time I am also providing you with the image too. This is from a free stock exchange site found online.

Step One:
Lets get this guys opened and side by side so we can move on to step two.

Step Two:
Lets drag the file over. (You guys may remember this process from the last tutorial on layers)

Step Three:
Lets expand the window so the only thing we are working on is the actual image we want to be working on

Step Four:
Open your layers window or if it is already open find the word "opacity" and click on the arrow beside it. (see image)
(If you don't know how to open your layers go to window and click on "window" Then find layers and click "layers" and your layers window should pop up)

Step Five:
From here there are two ways you can go.
You can
A. Type in a number anywhere from 0-100 into the bar that says opacity
B. You can drag the arrow that pops up underneath the word opacity after it has been selected.

You know can scroll or type to a number that you feel is fitting. In my case I just do everything by eye. That is one way to make a quick, lazy, and easy watermark.

Way 2: You can skip steps 1-3 if you already have the system of the click and drag down.

Step One:
Lets get this guys opened and side by side so we can move on to step two.

Step Two:
Lets drag the file over. (You guys may remember this process from the last tutorial on layers)

Step Three:
Lets expand the window so the only thing we are working on is the actual image we want to be working on

Step Four:
Next to the word "opacity" is also a word that says "Normal" and it also has an arrow that you can click on. When you click on the arrow you should get a drop down window.

Step Five:
Once the window has dropped down you can look for a word that says "Overlay" and select it.

I normally use this function for text. Depending on the color of what you have and the item under it determines what shows up and where. In this case it worked swimmingly but I wouldn't always suggest it for logos. Like I said its more of a text thing. This is way two.

Way 3 You can skip steps 1-3 if you already have the system of the click and drag down.

Step One:
Lets get this guys opened and side by side so we can move on to step two.

Step Two:
Lets drag the file over. (You guys may remember this process from the last tutorial on layers)

Step Four:
Next to the word "opacity" is also a word that says "Normal" and it also has an arrow that you can click on. When you click on the arrow you should get a drop down window.

Step Five:
Go to and Select "Multiply" once the window has dropped down

Okay so Multiply isn't the most awesome choice. It just kind of makes the layer itself well...hmmm whats the word I am looking for. Translucent. Multiply is a good way for people who like to color in things underneath a line drawing or make something stand out. Its a quick but very ugly way of making something "your own".

Okay so why did I show one great way, one text way, and one eughk way? Because its good to know the little things even if it makes something ugly. Plus not every way always works. Of course my favorite way is the first one.

If you have successfully finished this tutorial here is your Clemart badge.

Anyway, if anyone has questions or if I missed a step in one let me know. :)
This has been the tutorial for the month of December

Tomorrow's Today

I have no idea what to post for tomorrow's tutorial. Last month was "Layer Sizing" and I gave out a cool layer sizing badge but what should this month be? Maybe a watermark tutorial or like a make a gif animation tutorial. Idk, if anyone has any ideas let me know!
In other news its as cold as a witches nips outside and I am bored as sin. December is a pretty slow month for me outside of Etsy and inside of Etsy. I am wondering if all Decembers are going to be like this or is it just for the first year...hmmmm

White Line

About a month ago I woke up with my chest burning and my stomach very upset. I ran to the bathroom bla bla bla anyway I still randomly get that same chest pain. It turns out that I have a weird form of heart burn that occurs from acid leaping up into when I am sleeping. The best direction I got for this was wait four hours after to eating to sleep, sleep with bricks under my bed to tilt my body downward, and/or lose weight. So I wonder do aneroxic people not get sleepers heart burn?
So if I drop like 100 pounds (which might kill me due to extreme no fat) and put bricks under my bed and wait 4 hours after eating to go to sleep does it really stop or is that just a theory?

Anyway, I have been having a bit of a jumbled month. Like everything I do has a thin white line that says do not cross and I don't see it. I got into an argument about rent hypotheticals and still very much think I am right which is apparently the wrong thing to do because it was that little line of "You have talked to much" that I didn't see.
I tried to be cordial with a bus driver and got bitched out which I guess means don't be polite or so much as talk to anyone because I crossed that social line it seems.
I then found that after I got robbed of one of my works people started deleting me from their favorites on Etsy. I don't know how someone blatantly stealing my banner makes people say "F U" but alas :(

Here is some more stuff from project "Vice Caster"

My friend does to the fact art sculptures and for about a year and a half she has been obsessing over moose. She made this beautiful moose sculpture and hasn't finished it in a year. He is baked and primed but he is just sitting there. Among the other things there are huge dragons and also a life size dinosaur she is making but she hasn't finished them yet. So when one of my other friends starting making diecast models for Warhammer I had to get in on it. There is no way all of us can keep half assing everything. I refuse to finish my website, she refuses to finish sculptors, and he refuses to work on things before the last minute. If we could all combine are talents we would be badass!!!!!!
Anyway here are some logo sketches for him...

Draw this out

I made my way to the bus stop and saw a bus coming at a different one, as I boarded the bus I asked the driver if he was going to loop back down to Downtown. He told me "No, no I'm done for the day. I can take you up further to catch the number one though." Awesome because I was going to catch the number one anyway its just why walk a mile when the bus will drive me two and get me to where I need to be.
I was kicked off the bus at its last stop in the dark. Rain ran down the over hanging bus stop and was currently trying to splash me. I couldn't sit and I couldn't lean because everything was just too wet. I stood awaiting the number one a poor decision on my part...
As the bus pulls the driver opens her door. She pulls out a cup from Mc Donalds and I ask "Are you taking a break." Instantly the bitch fest begins. "I drove all the way from Renyoldsburg. I think I deserve a break don't you!"
I quickly went whoa "I was just asking if I could get on the bus." I got on the bus and went to sit down. "Are you sitting up here with me?" She said and raised her hands. "Excuse me?" I said with a confused look on my face. "Are you sitting on up here with me! I'm on break I mean really! Are you going to sit up her with me!"
I held up my hand and ran to the back of the bus.
I was pissed, livid pissed. I am a friendly "Hey how are you doing? Would you like some cookies? I love cookies."
Good god what is wrong with people.
So in that respect, I am pretty grouchy still...hmmm maybe I should draw this out.

Anatomy of a Tidal Wave

Hello everyone! I am back from my trip to Cleveland and I am super tired. Me and my friend stayed up until about 4am each night. Lets just say I am not built for that. I also snore which didn't help him sleep so in the middle of the night all you could hear was "Clem shut up!!!!!" I also as my last post stated was robbed so womp womp for Clemart. Someone was using my banners and redoing them and handing them out like hotcakes. So I had a good two days of that before I realized it wasn't worth it and that I should just give in and wait it out till when I could come home. I just need time to go to the library bla bla bla
Anyway, for once something was posted to my Etsy before my blog and thats pretty amazing. Here a new holiday banners:

Someone has been stealing my banners and selling them as their own!!! Keep an eye out everyone!

The photoshop file!!!!!

The origional banner by clemart design!!!!!!

The stolen banner from Vidia2be!!!!!! (with censored client name)!!!!!!!

Up! Up! and AWAY!

I spent most of yesterday building my website. I find it to be true that I have a curse or something attached to it. I can finish everyone elses website 1-2 days. Mine I have continually been building for 5 years now. I can never get it the way I want or some weird coding issue appears. I like seamless designs and I if something isn't connected it frustrates me. So when my website developed a HUGE white gap and there was not a single error in my coding I deleted everything and started fresh. I am now stuck in the world of trying to figure out which banners to put in my gallery. Oh woooooooo is Clemart.
In other news I am on my way to Cleveland. So bon voyage and what not and see everyone in a bit. I am not really feeling like posting a design today. I have a few new happy holidays and a special valentines day one but alas laziness. Lol, I did however post the end of skies for sale finally on etsy so if you guys want to hop on that you should :)

If U Seek Amy (December Desktop)

Like my word I am making a desktop once a month and handing it out on my blog. With the release of "Circus" my favorite song on there is "If U Seek Amy". The cool part about this song is what it means if you say it fast. Hee hee, so anyway yesterday was odd. I found myself being bored out of my mind and wanting to play shuffle board with my brain just to have something to do.
The desktop is actually Kris I just had a picture laying around and used it. ha ha, joke on you Kris for having files on my pc

Mmm, to continue the amazing month of December the release of Britney Spears new cd "Circus" came out today. Now don't get me wrong Britney was on her way to doing a Micheal Jackson and hanging her baby over the edge of a hotel and saying "Hey ya'll." while chewing on a pack of dubble bubble gum. Yet there is something about Britney that I can't resist. I have a theory that she has subliminal messages hidden in the songs. Mainly they say "Clem, play me listen to me LOVE ME." Oh that Britney. In other news I have for you lovely lovely people two new banners as always.

Its December which means a ton of things.
-My Mum's Birthday
-Aids Awareness Month/Day
-I start paying back on a hefty Art School College Loan
and most importantly
-The year is almost over!!!!!

So hello December! How are you doing? Do you need some tea? Lol, in other news its like Cyber Monday and also Aids Awareness Day. So if you are spending a bit of money try and donate some to the cause. Its sad that we can spend 6 billion dollars on a bail out but not on a cure. Then again that is my opinion.
In other words I am going to try and stay up on things with my shop and I even have a New Years banner. YAY!

Saturday...wait Sunday?

After a long but short ride home...yes I know my use of words is amazing *clears throat*. After a long but short ride home I came in and mauled Kris...literally. After that was done I realized that sleep was a necessary addition to my day. So I went to bed....and 7 hours later wow, look at me. Lol, slept through the whole day. I got myself all nice and situated in front of the tv. I got some grubbage from Kris and listened to fable play in the background. I then went back into my bed. 7 hours just isn't enough. With that being sad Kris was not having that and woke me up. We then got some drinks from Carabar came back home and then I slept some more. Now its Sunday...

Happy "Food Stuffs" Day

HAPPY TURKEY DAY! Or in my case ham day. I am a turkey fan but not as big as ham. Me and my sister have this sick little need for honey baked hams and macaroni and cheese. It isn’t a holiday without one of those items. My mom would bake a ham all night and her glaze was a special one made from Vernors and brown sugar…AMAZING. When I worked at Mc Cormicks their ham was glazed with liqour and brown sugar….MMMMMMM. So I hope everyone today has at least a good meal. If you are Kris you should for sure do something nice for yourself.

The Story Behind The Banner

My Father’s coming! My Father’s coming! With Thanksgiving quickly approaching my father is coming to pick me up for the holiday. I am one of those non-driving people. Its just something that I never enjoyed doing. I always loved being the passenger and watching the landscape go by. Seeing the world move across my eyes as if every view is like the first. So he has to come and pick me up and take me home. He keeps pushing for me to get a car but eh *shrugs* YUCK! With that in mind I thought I would post the story of “Edgar’s Bedroom” banner that I made so people could get why it was called “Edgar’s Bedroom”. So today is the first part of the story and the chapter is called “Manuel Hill”.
